He ran the halls of WPPI for a few years, then moved to St. Louis to study the fine art of brisket bbq rub.

Jason Groupp

Brief Bio:

Erich Caparas was born in the Philippines but grew up in Northern Virginia /Washington DC area. He has a degree in Economics and Engineering. Professionally, he worked as a graphics designer/photographer in Washington DC and New York. Having started photography in 1977 way before digital, back in the film days. He did all his film processing and darkroom work. 

Erich is quick to admit being lucky to be on the forefront of the digital age. He beta tested Photoshop and consulted with them when they introduced layers in 1993-94. Being on the cutting edge of technology gave him an opportunity to work with some of the best clients in the industry. Notable ones: National Geographic, Mobil, Smithsonian Institution, Discovery Channel, Victoria Secret, Ringling Brothers / Barnum and Bailey, Siegfried and Roy, and the White House. Erich has kept his techniques and skills up to date and shares his 40 years of experience in photography on workshops. He says: “I travel around the world teaching both amateur and professional photographers take their photography to the next level.”

Doug Hansgate has been shooting professionally and with distinction for over 35 years. Owner of AMP Studios, a successful commercial portrait and fashion photography studio in New York, Doug often says that if an image does not exude passion and does not evoke a sense of delight, sorrow, sadness, happiness, or desire, the image lacks the ability to be a sustainable work of art. His creative approach to photography, coupled with his ability to see and capture light, permeates his impressive body of work. His numerous gallery showings highlight his perceptive and compelling work.

His passion for his art has propelled Doug as a leader in the field of painting with light—since the human eye can perceive slight nuances of color and light that cameras cannot always capture. Brief Bio:

My wife Stefani and I have a portrait photography studio in Roseville, CA. If I had to describe my style in one word it would be romantic. I don’t shoot with the rules in mind but try to just stick to what is lovely to me. If I can stay just outside of reality with my images then they are a success. Passion first, vision second, and the rest you can pick up on the way.

Jayesunn Krump is an internationally published photographer and educator based in Portland, Oregon. With his extensive experience shooting indoor and out, working with all types of people, models, children, families, celebrities, and more, Jayesunn has been a working photographer and photographic educator since 2000.

“I was born in the Midwest. As a touring musician, fell in love with the Pacific northwest and decided to make it my home.

When I stopped touring and started a family I picked up a camera for the first time with a different eye.

Photographing my first child really began my love affair with the camera. I began to photograph anything and everything around me. Just about all of my free time was spent with a camera or a book about photography in my hand. I became the friend that you would call if you needed some shots done, and it just grew from there.

Fifteen years later I have photographed people from all walks of life, from celebrities to children, and I haven’t stopped. I try to pick up my camera every day and try something new.”

Jayesunn Krump

Brief Bio:

Dennis is a wedding photographer in Northern New Jersey who shoots all over the North East. He mixes a real and intimate documentary style with epic, wow factor portraits. His path with photography started with an interest in his teens inspired by his father and grandfather, but truly ignited in college.

His initial intent was to be a skateboarding photographer, which to this day still heavily influences his non traditional style. But, during college while assisting a wedding photographer, Dennis found that weddings offered the versatility, creativity, and meaningfulness that he was looking for.

When not shooting and obsessing about photography, Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling as much as possible, and almost anything that will get him outdoors.

Dennis Pike

Brief Bio:

Brian Hodges has been actively shooting since the 1980’s. Serving as a police officer in Harris County, Texas, he joined the Crime Scene Photography team in 2013 and was promoted to Sgt. and team lead in 2016. He and his fashion model wife Kacy are ImageCraftersMedia, and specialize in swimsuit and fashion commercial photography. The two host several fashion photography shootouts, events and workshops each year for Houston and the surrounding communities.

Brian Hodges

Brief Bio:

Tauran was born and raised in Los Angeles, and always wanted to have an exciting and fulfilling career in the arts. His journey started when he began cultivating his passion for drawing, illustration, photography, and graphic design. He started his professional journey as a graphic designer. Later he channeled his creative energy in a different direction as a producer on E! Entertainment’s Emmy-winning TV show “Talk Soup”.

After entering the wedding industry in 1997 as a videographer, he began to pursue photography and eventually transitioned his passion into a successful and rewarding career that has enabled him to explore and meet people from all over the world. Over the past decade, Tauran has had the privilege of serving hundreds of wedding clients all over the world. He operates his studio in and is regularly published in publications around the world. Tauran also regularly teaches professional photographers in workshops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Hawaii, China, Hong Kong and the Bahamas.

Tauran has also done mentoring sessions for WPPI, CreativeLive and the Art Institute of California, as well as private mentoring. Tauran is located in the greater Los Angeles area and serves all of Southern California, as well as Northern and Central California. He has also been commissioned to work across the continental US, Hawaii, Canada, The Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and Central America. Tauran resides in Northridge, CA with his wife and two children.

Ali Ghorbani is a professional wedding, celebrity and VIP event photographer in Hong Kong. His romance with photography began in 1989 when his uncle gave him a 35mm camera as a birthday present.
