Artra Lab Camera One (C1): A Mechanical Tribute to the Photographic Soul
The Camera One (C1) by Artra Lab is more than just a timepiece; it is a mechanical masterpiece designed specifically for photography enthusiasts. By seamlessly integrating iconic camera elements into its DNA, the C1 offers a tactile experience that resonates with anyone who appreciates the art of capturing light.
Key Design Highlights:
• Functional Aperture Dial: The standout feature is the working aperture mechanism controlled by a dedicated crown at the 10 o’clock position. Rotating the crown opens and closes the mechanical blades, revealing a sophisticated translucent “film strip” design underneath—a direct nod to the mechanical soul of vintage lenses.
• “Sunny 16” Light Meter Bezel: The high-quality ceramic bezel is engraved with the “Sunny 16” principle, featuring ISO values (50–800) and shutter speeds. This allows photographers to manually calculate exposure settings, blending horology with photographic utility.
• “Horse in Motion” Dynamic Rotor: The exhibition caseback reveals an automatic rotor featuring Eadweard Muybridge’s 1878 “Horse in Motion.” As the watch winds with your movement, the silhouette appears to gallop, paying homage to the very birth of cinematography and chronophotography.
• Precision Camera Details: Every inch of the 316L stainless steel case echoes camera aesthetics, from the depth-of-field (DOF) markings engraved on the side to the signature “Red Dot” on the crown, mirroring professional lens mount indicators.
Technical Specifications:
Engineered for reliability, the C1 is powered by the ISO1426A automatic movement. It features a 42mm case diameter, a 48mm lug-to-lug distance, and a thickness of 12mm (15.2mm including the sapphire crystal). The crystal is treated with both anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings for maximum clarity. With 5 ATM (50m) water resistance and a quick-release FKM rubber strap, the Camera One is built to accompany you on every creative journey.
